We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.
Kevin Bearne, Denbury Homes
Kevin Bearne has joined Suffolk-based Denbury Homes as sales manager as the company prepares to launch further sites in 2024. Having worked in the property industry for over 25 years, he brings a wealth of experience to the new role. “This is an exciting time to have joined the company,” he remarked.
 
Ian Trindall, Bellway
Having spent his whole career in customer-facing roles, with 17 years in the new homes industry, Ian Trindall has been promoted to sales manager for Bellway South London. Having joined the company in 2014 as a sales advisor, two years ago he was promoted to senior sales advisor with Bellway North London.
 
Tracey Barnes, A2Dominion
A2Dominion has announced the appointment of Tracey Barnes as its first chief finance officer (CFO). Before joining the organisation, she was CFO at Sovereign Housing Association and held a number of roles internationally at Diageo for over 20 years, including CFO of East African Breweries Ltd and of Diageo Ireland.
 
Keiron Morley, Persimmon North West
Keiron Morley has joined Persimmon North West as technical director. Morley was most recently the technical director at Taylor Wimpey in Manchester. Prior to that, he held similar roles at Keepmoat Homes and Bellway. He commented: “I’m looking forward to playing my part in building high-quality homes for local people.”
 
Three appointments, Allison Homes
Allison Homes has announced three new senior team members for its new East Midlands division, covering Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Aimée Watts, Paul Savage and Ryan Evans have been appointed as land manager, commercial manager and head of technical respectively.
 
Emma Robinson, Audley Group
Audley Group has appointed its first-ever health and wellness director. Emma Robinson joins with a career focused on health, welfare and wellbeing, working in government, higher education and private sector across Australia, Italy and the United Kingdom. Her most recent role was as Dean of Students within the UK higher education sector.
 
Graham Sibley, UK Apartment Association
The UKAA (UK Apartment Association) has announced Graham Sibley as its new operations and marketing director. He has held senior positions at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and sector skills council Asset Skills, with recent work also including the provision of consultancy services under the Building Strategies banner.
 
Helen Moore, Home Builders Federation
Helen Moore, group director of Orbit Homes and a member of the executive team at Orbit Group, is to join the board of the Home Builders Federation. A graduate in Business Studies, she has held positions with Countryside and Crest Nicholson, and as managing director of City & Country, before joining Orbit in 2018.
 
Nicola Barclay, Built Environment – Smarter Transformation
Built Environment – Smarter Transformation (BE-ST) has appointed former Homes for Scotland chief executive Nicola Barclay as board chair. She has amassed over 30 years’ experience in construction and housing development as well as expertise in leadership coaching and consulting.
 
Ian Worthington, Torsion Homes
Torsion Homes, part of Leeds-based Torsion Group, has appointed Ian Worthington as its new managing director. He worked for the organisation previously as a quantity surveyor between 2006 and 2018 before moving to ISG as commercial manager for two years then at NG Bailey for three years.
 
Two appointments, Taylor Wimpey
Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has made two new senior appointments to complete its local board of directors. Philip Cooper takes over the reins as land and planning director and Pauline Mills is confirmed as the new technical director – both are based in its regional office in Dunfermline.
 
Two appointments, Richborough
Richborough has made two appointments to its technical team. Charlotte Gilham has joined from Piper Homes as technical coordinator, with previous roles at Spitfire Homes, Bellway and Persimmon. Leo Gee, an undergraduate in accounting and business management, and an MBA in sports governance and leadership, has joined as technical administrator.
 
Steve Young, Wondrwall
Wondrwall has appointed a new chief commercial officer. Steve Young joins from Strom, where he was national new build director and, previously, leading Ideal Heating’s New Build team, concentrating on national and regional housebuilders. He commented: “I’m excited to be joining Wondrwall at such a pivotal moment in its growth journey.”
 
Two appointments, Willmott Dixon
Follow the retirement of Colin Enticknap as the company’s executive chairman at the end of 2023, Willmott Dixon has moved major shareholder Rick Willmott from his current role as group chief executive to become the company’s new executive chairman, with chief financial officer Graham Dundas promoted to chief executive.
