Create Homes receives planning permission for development near Blackpool

Create Homes has received full planning permission for a new housing development in Bispham, near Blackpool.
Create Homes got the green light from Blackpool & Wyre Council to build 51 new homes, with work already underway to provide much-needed housing opportunities in the area.
The development, which will be called The Groves, Bispham, will offer three and four-bedroom homes under the new Executive Collection brand, which will feature a range of existing house types as well as some designs that have been created especially for the development.
The Council received funding from the DLUHC through its Land Release Fund towards infrastructure costs to help open up the site to meet local housing needs.
Cllr Mark Smith, cabinet member for levelling up – place, said: “Creating new, high-quality homes is a key priority for the council, we are delighted that we have been able to release land for this development to go ahead.
“The scheme has received money from the Department of Levelling Up Homes and Communities’ Land Release Fund to enable a new traffic system to be implemented, improving the road access and opening up the land for these 51 new homes to be built.”
As part of the development, there will be 16 affordable homes built in partnership with Great Places, which will provide rental opportunities for locals to access.
