We take our weekly look at some of the appointments and promotions across the housebuilding industry and its supply chain.
Two appointments, McCarthy Stone
McCarthy Stone has welcomed back two senior directors. Brendon O’Neill, after further roles at Barratt, Bovis and Persimmon, has returned as divisional managing director for Southern region. Previously SD at Bellway Homes, Kim Caldwell returns as group sales & marketing director, having previously worked at McCarthy Stone from 2002 to 2018.
Multiple appointments, Honey
Housebuilder Honey has announced the appointment of its sales and build teams. Anne Bagshaw joins as sales and marketing director; Rebecca Vaughan has been appointed as sales advisor; Luke Hewitt has been hired as head of construction; James Peace as architectural manager; and Mark Robinson as site manager.
Four appointments, Castle Green Homes
Castle Green Homes has announced four promotions. Bert Bonatti moves from senior contracts manager to area construction manager; Lindsey Dilworth from field sales manager to sales manager; Tom Fletcher rises from assistant quantity surveyor to quantity surveyor; and former trainee surveyor Jacob Edwards becomes assistant quantity surveyor.
Alex Gray, Beau Property
Beau Property has hired its first ever CFO with the appointment of Alex Gray FCCA, who joins from Halsbury Homes, where he was financial director and on the Board. He has nine years’ experience working in property and finance both across residential and commercial property for names such as Jones Lang LaSalle and RG Carter.
Two appointments, Inspired Villages
Inspired Villages has bolstered its leadership team as two of the company’s originators join the C suite. Neal Dale (pictured left) takes on the role of chief development and property officer and James Cobb (right) will become chief customer officer. CEO Jamie Bunce said: “Neal and James are both passionate and committed members of our team.”
Nick Ingle, Strutt & Parker
Strutt & Parker has appointed director Nick Ingle as Salisbury’s new head of residential sales, following a 12-year stint at Savills. He brings with him over 30 years’ experience in the industry, a quarter of which were spent at Savills heading up offices in Beaconsfield and Harpenden. He previously worked at Strutt & Parker for four years from 2017.
Sarah Whitney, Connells Group
Connells Group has announced the appointment of Sarah Whitney as non-executive chair, starting in September, subject to regulatory approval. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and former PwC partner, she has an extensive background in property and finance gained through a range of senior roles across a number of sectors.
Alan Penfold, Apache Capital
Apache Capital has promoted Alan Penfold to managing director of its single-family Build to Rent housing platform, Present Made. He was previously Present Made’s executive director, and prior to that he was a director at Apache Capital for four years. Over 15 years’ experience in housebuilding includes roles at Barratt Homes, Bellway and Crest Nicholson.
Chris Ballantyne, MetroPM
Estate management firm MetroPM has announced the promotion of Chris Ballantyne to associate director. Originally from Great Barr in Birmingham, he first joined the property sector in 2004 as a purchase ledge clerk at Evenbrook Estates, progressing to more senior roles for companies including RPS (previously DKB) and Wolfs Block Management.
